Some Vintage Magazine Covers

I am loving the bikergirl chic on this classy magazine cover for ‘Die Woche’ (The Week) from 1928.  Getting pulled up the mountain by motorbike  looks a lot more fun than a button lift – but I wouldn’t fancy being the skier behind that exhaust. Can anyone identify the vintage motorbike?       The caption to the cover photo above reads  “Une derniere petite belotte” or “A last little game of cards”. Looks like these two have made an early start on the ‘Apres’ part of [...]

A Crafty Buy

The Best James Bond Ski Scenes

The ski chase from ‘The Spy Who Loved Me – 1977 Watch the ski chase from The Spy Who Loved Me The clip shows Roger Moore bravely sporting a bright yellow one piece, flamboyantly topped and tailed with red beanie & boots.  There’s some thrilling footage here in the film’s opening sequence as  he is chased by Soviet agents in the Austrian Alps. After despatching one of his adversaries using a ski pole which fires an explosive [...]
